סיפורי הצלחה -דוגמאות לסיועה של עמיתת הקליטה

פמלה קפלן היא עמיתת קליטה בתל אביב, אמונה על הקשר החברתי בין יוצאי בריטניה, אוסטרליה- וותיקים מול חדשים. כחלק מתרומתה פמלה יוזמת ארוחות בוקר משותפות, קונצרטים, טיולים. לפני מספר חודשים, פמלה נתבקשה ע"י דינה טורבסקי (רכזת הקליטה בתל אביב) ללוות את בנציון- מוזיקאי שעלה לארץ לבדו. פמלה יצרה עבורו קשרים, חברה וחשיפה. בעקבות תמיכתה בנציון מתחיל להסתדר בארץ החדשה.                                   בעקבות הקשר שנוצר בין השניים כתב בנציון לפמלה את המכתב הבא:

Dear Pamela,

I hope that every musician in a similar situation to mine, finds a friend such as you. I don't yet know, how or when I will be able to satisfactorily express my thanks to you, but I will. I've been searching  the net for local music schools, institutions, etc., and I know there's got to be lots, but apparently not on the net, the university's of course a real 'maze'..requires exactly what you have done. I've also written to some artsy places that  have musicians play, poetry readings etc., however no one's gotten back to me yet.  I am now going to look around for open mic situations, and try to reach as many people as I can. Harold Jacobs has also chosen to champion my cause, and I can tell you that it means a lot, to have people such a yourselves, who know what they are listening to, hear me.

By the way, as to teaching or playing I, myself, am not sure which I do better-I seem to have a somewhat enlarged teaching gene, and, as for playing-well, I am Jewish! Your letter came as a 'shot in the arm' in a sticky moment, and irregardless of the result thanks!
